Ink Review: Intense Black by Waterman

Intense Black
Waterman Pen Co.

I had really enjoyed the other Waterman ink I picked up from Wonderpens and now had an ink that I didn't mind using in all my pens. I needed a black ink though, Waterman Intense Black.

I wouldn't use Intense Black as a way to describe this colour, it spectrum from a slate grey to a black. On some papers I noticed a brownish sheen to it. There is a small amount of shading noticeable which is unusual for a black ink. The ink dries fast and the flow is average. The ink is not water resistant but traces of the ink remain after being exposure to it. This Waterman ink like 'Absolute Brown' is easy to clean from pens and as you can see from the test plate, only small traces are visible in the roughest section.

Waterman inks are quickly becoming the ink I reach for more often when filling a pen. Intense Black from Waterman is a great performer and easily cleaned from your pen. Add on the quality that it will not be erased from paper by 'water' and you have yourself an excellent choice..... 'man'
