Ink Review: Diamine Green Black

Green Black
Diamine

I wanted a green ink that wasn't too pale, too bright, and green enough to write with not just draw trees. The nice folks at Phidon Pens in Cambridge suggested the Green Black from Diamine and I was not disappointed.

The name Green Black capture the colour rather well, its a dark green that is closely resembles the tone of pine or spruce needles. The ink has a moderate amount of shading but nothing to write home about. The ink has a consistent flow and the dry time is consistent on both papers with feathering or bleed through. The ink is not water resistant and ink is removed from the page with water. Diamine Green Black is easy to clean from pens and as you can see from the test plate, only small traces are visible in the roughest section.

Diamine offers inks in a large variety of great colours and have become the ink brand I recommend if looking for a bright or bold colour. This ink in particular is a great performer and easily cleaned from pens. I would use it in all my pens.
