Rattler Red Eel
Noodler's Ink
I was in search of a blood red ink for redlining drawings for corrections with shading qualities for Christmas cards and love letters. The Rattler Red Eel ended up meeting those needs for me.
Rattler Red Eel is a blood red colour that looks fresh and was pleasantly surprized that it doesn't shear when a highlighter is applied to it like my experiences with
Sheaffer Skrip 'Red' have shown. The ink is said to have a lubricating property but I couldn't tell the difference other than the ink takes some time to dry on both Hilroy and Clairefontaine papers. The ink performs well in all other aspects, I experienced no feathering, or bleed through. Cleaning the ink from pens gave me no issues, but the tester plate showed a little more resistance to flushing. This indicates that you may experience a few more flushes than usuual but there was no staining or residue.
This
Noodler's ink has a great tone for a red and performs well, I personally have no issue using Rattler Red Eel in all the pens in my drawer.
