The Drawer: 18 Again - 3rd Update

The addition of 4 pens to my drawer meant that some had to go, here's what happened.

Coming in I have 3 Parker Pens; a 51 Vacumatic, 50 'Falcon' and a Vacumatic, In addition to those 3 I also picked up a Pelikan 400NN. It was a busy holiday season indeed, I also changed the body colour of my Noodler's Ahab to 'Baltic Amber'. I am pulling the Hero 616, Pilot Metropolitan, Sheaffer No Nonsense and the TWSBI 580 out of the drawer.

For a few of the pens removed it came down to cost. The Pilot Metropolitan and Sheaffer No Nonsense are both great performers but found that the qualities I liked in them were found in other pens in the drawer. I have the ability to swap nib units in the Classic, Beaumont, and now the Pelikan which has me reaching for these 2 pens no longer.

The Hero 616 is a great replica of the Parker 51, now that I have 2 Parker 51's in the drawer this one will make room. Maybe one day I will find a burgundy body for one of the Parkers.

Lastly, the TWSBI 580 is a great pen but I didn't love it, the clear demonstrator just looks cheap and I preferred using the other 2 TWSBI pens over it.
